As I’m sure you’re all aware by now, the only legal way to stream music by Prince–for the time being, at least–is through TIDAL, a.k.a. the Zune of the modern music-streaming world. But look, I’m a millennial at heart, and I wanted to have a streaming playlist to accompany this blog. And since TIDAL is the only place where I can do that, to TIDAL I went.
I’ll be updating with new tracks as I go, and in the future will embed the current playlist to each of my end-of-“chapter” roundup posts. Basically, if you’re one of the three or four people who have TIDAL and read this blog, this is for you. And really, all jokes aside, TIDAL isn’t bad–especially if you’re a Prince fan, as it now features out-of-print records like Crystal Ball and The Black Album. I can think of worse ways to spend $10 a month.
Anyway, enjoy if you’re into this sort of thing. And I’ll be back tomorrow with a post about a song that can’t be streamed, on TIDAL or anywhere else: 1977‘s “We Can Work It Out.”
